• The Horticulture Training Camp was organized to build practical knowledge and farming skills among rural women, empowering them to adopt eco-friendly horticultural practices and generate sustainable livelihoods from their land and kitchen gardens.

Role of Samarpan Trust

• Mobilizing participants from Deloli and nearby villages

• Providing hands-on facilitation through Smt. Hasumatiben K. Patel, who helped simplify complex horticulture topics into practical, easy-to-understand lessons for local women

• Encouraging post-training adoption of practices in home gardens and small farms

Training Outcomes
• Over 50 women trained in practical horticulture methods

• Increased awareness of nutritious home-grown food

• Encouraged the use of organic and sustainable practices

• Inspired women to initiate small-scale garden-based income activities

Future Plans
• Samarpan Trust, in collaboration with the Horticulture Department, plans to:

• Expand such camps to nearby villages

• Start horticulture-based micro-entrepreneurship programs for women

• Introduce value addition training for processing fruits and vegetables
