Society for Advance Movemnet in Rural Program and Action for Nation (Samarpan) Trust was founded with the vision of creating sustainable change in the lives of marginalized communities, particularly women and youth, through education, empowerment, and capacity building. Established in 1999, the trust set out to address key societal challenges such as environmental degradation, unemployment, gender inequality, and lack of access to skills training.
Initially focused on grassroots environmental awareness and women’s empowerment, the organization began small-scale initiatives aimed at educating local communities on sustainable practices and promoting self-reliance among women. Early projects included waste management campaigns, tree planting drives, and vocational training for women in rural areas.
As the organization grew, it expanded its focus to include unemployment relief efforts, recognizing the need to create sustainable livelihoods through job creation and skill development. It partnered with local businesses, government agencies, and international donors to launch employment campaigns, organize job fairs, and facilitate vocational training programs.
Through its ongoing work in skill development, the trust has trained thousands of women in diverse fields, ranging from traditional crafts to digital literacy and financial management. This has enabled women to gain economic independence, enhance their social standing, and contribute meaningfully to their communities.
